Ibn al-Qayyim:

“There are three possibilities with regards to du’a & Divine Decree:

Firstly, it is possible that the du’a is stronger than the Decree and, thus, repels it permanently.

Secondly, it is possible that the du’a is weaker than the Decree, so the Decree occurs, but the du’a softens it a little bit.

Thirdly, that are of equal strength, so each prevents the other from acting.”

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

The most incapable (or lazy) person is he who does not make du’a, and the most miserly is he who does not give salam.

1 – سبحان الله ♡
2 – الحمدلله ♡
3 – ﻻ إله إلا الله♡
4 – الله أكبر ♡
5 – استغفرالله♡
6 – ﻻ حول ولا قوة إلا بالله♡

Every time we recite Sura Fatiha, we begin by thanking and praising and glorifying Allah, not because He needs praise and glory, but because we are so forgetful, we need to remind ourselves of Allah’s greatness and irresistible power:

Piety “Verily, then Allah loves those who are al-Muttaqun (the pious).”
(Quran: 3:76)
