Allāh has made the women live in the care of her husband and under his command. The stability of marital life lies in the man’s ability to maintain his wife with justice and integrity. Because of this, many prophetic narrations have encouraged the wife to be obedient to her husband and to honour his status.

It has been reported on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (radiaAllāhu anhu) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “If a women prays her five prayers, fasts the month of Ramadhān, guards her chastity, and obeys her husband, it will be said to her, “Enter paradise from any door you wish!”

It’s when you meet others who have nothing that makes you appreciate everything.

When you meet someone who isn’t able to speak or move their limbs, you sit there and think about your sins that you committed with those very gifts that Allah has taken away from them, what they would do to have the ability to perform Salah, whilst you neglect it.

What they would do to recite a single istighfar with their tongue, whilst you waste yours in backbiting, lying and using foul language.

Know that your very limbs will speak against you on the day of reckoning and bare witness to what evil you used them for, oh slave of Allah!

{ فَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي قَرِيبٌ مُّجِيبٌ }

“So ask forgiveness of Him and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive.”
